Bio
Ellie Bates and Jessica Helen Hannan both studied B.A. Fine Art at Kingston University from 2006 until 2009.The ongoing collaboration between the two artists began in 2008. Both Jessica and Ellie maintain a strong individual practise and see the collaboration as a visual representative of dialogue between the two artists. The work considers the continuing influence of painting over the less traditional time based media such as video and performance. Spanning a number of disciplines, incorporating; architecture, painting, sculpture, performance and video, the work offers of fresh perceptive on the recurrent structures embedded in art making.
