Solo Show 'Compound' at the Art Students League, New York, Feb 2010.
This show at the Vytlacil campus, Sparkill, New York was the conclusion to a month long residency in which we explored the Leagues' links to Abstract Expressionism, particularly the work of Barnett Newman. Taking Newman's iconic 'zip' as a starting point, the show tracks the relationship between painting, sculpture and video with particular emphasis on the process of making art within a studio.
